Background AND Foreground

The tree that is between the young parents almost appears to be ... growing out of them.
One thing I have learned is to look at what is beyond my subject and what is in front of my subject. This is a tip that is actually based on one of the basic rules of firearm safety: Know what is behind your target and in your safe zone. If I do not look at what is beyond my subject, I could end up with the "My Favorite Martian" look of something growing out of the head. If there is something between me and my subject, my camera may choose to override my instructions and focus on that instead of my subject. Either situation is not desirable.
