Church in a Heavenly Light

 Night Time Photo of Church

Night Time Photo of Church

While vacationing in Washington DC, I decided to take my camera with me just in case I ran across a good night time photo. Luckily, I also took my tripod.

Using my Canon 10D, I set the ISO to 100 (contrary to numerous suggestions), Aperture of F/11, Focal length = 19mm, and Exposure time of 20 seconds.

Although I shot over 400 photos during the trip, this is one of my favorites.

It is Heavenly!

Well, you've done it now -- I'm going to have to buy a tripod! Your picture is so beautiful. It's hard to believe it was at night, everything is so clear.

Did you use some type of filter or something to create the star effect around the light? It's really nice.
