So Many Digital Cameras!
Which One is Right For You?

With so many digital cameras on the market today ranging in price from under $100 to several $1,000, you have reason to be overwhelmed.

Let me first give you a clue to narrow things down... Canon or Nikon. You can't really go wrong with either of these manufacturers.

Realize that there are literally thousands of sites that go into minute detail for every camera available.

When it comes to selecting digital cameras, the challenge for most people is that because there are SO MANY, it is often overwhelming to figure out which one you want, with the specific features that are best for you.

Therefore, let me share a buying principle that has served me well in the world of electronics...

Buy from the recognized leaders in the field,
unless you have compelling reasons not to.

When it comes to cameras, the brands you'd be well advised to focus on are Canon and Nikon. Both Canon and Nikon have quality products, the latest technology, and excellent customer service. Both Canon and Nikon also offer several different camera product lines that cover a wide spectrum.

The only "perceived" downside of going with either a Canon or Nikon camera is that you will possibly pay a little more. But, like everything else in life, you get what you pay for.

As a final note, remember there are excellent cameras on the market today that are not Nikon or Canon. Some have unique characteristics that may be just want you are looking for.

For these cameras (as well as Nikon and Canon), there are specific vital points to consider when buying. The following tips explain how to get the most bang for your digital dollar.
