He prefers to work in comfortable surroundings that promotes an open and relaxed atmosphere. This often allows the client to feel their best, as the images here reflect. A good family portrait photographer knows that the true session objective is to capture the relationships of the family members. Warmth, love, humor, and natural affection are the glue that binds a family together. Every family is unique and at Custom Photographic Expressions, we work to discover how best to portray it.
Consultation
All portrait sessions include a pre-shoot consultation to discuss the types of photos the family is looking for. We also discuss proper clothing to wear and the possibility of using certain types of props.
This consultation is generally done on the phone. It's important for you to know what options are available for your family before the session.
On Through the Generations
Family ties are forever. A family portrait photographer realizes this. Family portraits let you preserve and share these relationships with your loved ones.
Family portraits always hold a special place of honor in your home, instill family pride, and help convey the story of your family for generations to come.
Location
As will be discussed in the consultation, your family is given numerous choices as to the location for the photography session.
A location shoot can be arranged for the client’s home, lake or beach house, park, recreational facility, favorite outdoor location, or studio. Whether you require a small family group in a park or at a lake, a huge family reunion at a Chicago landmark, your baby's first portrait or your favorite pet photographed for prosperity, Robert will capture the moment in a style that is unique and timeless. And, in case you ever thought of doing this yourself, find out how to start making a great living with your portrait photography at home!
