Fire in the Sky

by Marshall Everett
(Phoenix, Arizona)

Shot taken in Lake Havasu Arizona. There was a large fire in the area during the day and the sky was filled with smoke. As the sun set, the sky turned many colors as the sun illuminated the smoke. Camera used: Nikon D50, set at 1/2 second at f16.

Just Fantastic. I'm surprised you only needed 1/2 second at f16. You used a tripod, right? If not, tell us your secret.
