A Horse of a Different Color

by Sunshine
(Sarasota, Florida, US)

I took this pic and I'm very happy about how the horse turned out but I'm not sure if I like the background. I know sometimes you want blurred background and sometimes not. Would this pic look better with a crisper background? Would I lose the focus (attention) from the horse to just a picture of greenery with a horse in it? I have a Nikon D50 I bought about 6 months ago and I'm still getting use to it. Seems like most everything I took today had a blurry background. I'll post a few more pics I think were good but would like comments on. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

A Pair to be Reckoned With

by Sunshine

Here is another pic from the ranch with the same question about the blurry background. Would this photo be better with a crisp backround? Or does it look good like it is? Thanks so much for any help and suggestions.
