Just don't see it.

I took this picture for a friend who let me use her family to start learning to take pictures. I didn't like this picture and still don't however it was one of their favorites, can some one tell me what would be appealing about this photo that makes them like it, I just don't see it.

what i like is went she is not looking at the camera or naturel post .kid don t give a true smile went thez know there picture is being taken

Although the shot is not real crisp...the lighting really brings the subject front and center. Also the little girl's expression is very cute and perhaps you caught their daughters true smile. Sometimes kids fake it and although to someone who does not really know them it seems good but a parent knows a genuine smile when they see it. I like it but it could have been a bit sharper.
