My sister's little dog in a basket.

by Tamitha Davis

I took this picture indoors at night using a table lamp and my external flash. I tilted the flash up and away from the dog so I wouldn't get harsh light. Is there anything that I could improve on with this picture?

Space usage

I would say zoom as well. Let the pup take up 85% of the picture and the background 15%. hehe this is from the basics of photography on this website.

I love it!

comments for pup pictures

cute picture but I would have liked for the pooch to look a tiny bit more toward the front of the camera but I don't know what your were going for. Plus there might be a little too much shadow on the pup's back. a reflector could have helped or a hair light?. My eye is immeiately drawn to the shadow on his back because I can't see his eyes well enough to capture my attention. great pictures doesn't need much improving!!! good job!

Just a bit !

Well what i think is , the "subject " is right at the middle...on the centre what if the subject was a bit away from the centre ..i.e, the rule of the THIRDS..!
overall a nice projection...!

This is such an adorable picture! The only suggestion I would have, zoom in a little more. But overall, good job!
