Old Church

Church (Brown and White)

My husband, his friend and I took photos of an abandoned church this weekend. I converted this photo to Albumen style with Paint Shop Pro Photo X2. This church is on Costley Mill in Conyers, Georgia. It had been abandoned, but someone cut down the weeds, and put a new roof on it. (What a shame)

Nikon D80 / F-stop F/10 / Exposure time 1/50 sec / Exposure program Apeture Priority / focal length 22 mm / No flash / 35mm focal length 33 / Auto white balance

I am glad, too!

I also heard this sad news. At least I got to document it before the bulldozer destroyed it.

ITS GONE NOW

Picture looks great, and captures the church as I remember it over the years. Even though the City said they were going to make a non-denominational worship house out of it when they took the property for the 96 olympics, saidly they bulldozed it several weeks ago. Glad you got a photo of it before they tore it down.

Great Pic!
by: Contina Williams

I love abandoned buildings of any kind, they are so interesting to photograph. This is a great picture, I love the albumen conversion. The only suggestion I might make is to play with you white balance instead of leaving it on auto, you can usually get better contrast and make your subjects really pop!

Not Bad.
by: Doug

Its well composed, good conversion, good lighting...only thing it needs to be perfect is perspective correction to get the wide angle lens distortion out.
