SLEEPING BEAUTY

BUM UP

BUM UP

Sleeping naked, with her bum up! This is a photo i has dreamed of getting of my beautiful daughter Tyrian for 10.5 months (and i finally got it).

I was organized to do this (not use a last minute idea while she was asleep). I had a black satin sheet covering the couch and made sure she had wet her nappy already after her bottle then got her to sleep on the couch.

Once asleep i removed her nappy and slightly moved one of her legs as this is already the position she sleeps in.

Once the photo was taken i needed to crop the photo using photoshop and size to 5"x7" and created another canvas (black) of 10"x8". Now the dodge tool was used to blend the sheet and the black canvas.

I doubted myself when i went out a splurged on a DSLR but after seeing the finished result of this shot (i got my money's worth already).

It helps when you have the most perfect model for the shot as well.

So you don't need to be a pro to get the shots you want, and nor do you need an expensive SLR. This shot could have been done with my compact camera but i used this one as it was newer and i need the practice. Still don't understand the aperture and f/stops but i guess i'll only learn in time.

This photo looks like it was made in a studio. Great job!! I learned a lot, because you told about how you edited the photo.
