Sometimes you can ignore the rules

Flowers in Baby Bottles

Flowers in Baby Bottles

I was taking pictures at my friend's baby shower and photographed these flowers in front of a mirror. I was surprised that I couldn't see myself in the photograph, even though I was taking the picture straight on. I had my Nikon D80 set on fully automatic. I wish I had it set on manual and had a larger depth of field, so that everything would be in focus. Oh, well...what do you think? The rule I am talking about ignoring is not taking a picture in a mirror straight on, but at an angle.
