Super Perigee Moon

Super Perigee Moon

Super Perigee Moon

This photo was taken on Saturday, March 19, 2011 and the sky was adorned with the Biggest "Super Perigee Moon' in 20 years. It was spectacular. I shot this at 11 pm from the parking lot of the Pawtucket (RI) Country Club using my Nikon D90 fitted with a AF-S NIKKOR 55-300mm 1:4.5-5.6 G ED. It was set at 300mm, f29, 1/60. My Speedlight SB-600 (Flash) was used and the camera mounted on a tripod. Aperture Priority was the shooting mode, primarly because I'm a novice and my photo experience is lacking.
