Taylor

by Paul Greenwood
(Vancouver, BC, Canada)

I used a Yashica FX-D quartz 35 mm camera with a 28 -70 mm tamaron lense. I took it in on my bed in my room and i was just playing around with a new roll of film. I set up a light in front of it and took the shot and didn't think anything of it, but it seemed to turn out pretty cool. Taylor is the make of my guitar.

Candid
by: Paul

Yeah, the clutter really takes away from it. As i said when i took the picture i was just setting up my new roll of film, i didn't intend for it to turn out at all. However i did get a very candid picture of my room as that is how i leave it most of the time with my guitar on the bed.

I think it is a nice photo

Yes, there is a lot of clutter in the background...but it was well thought out. If you can gain access to a photo editing program (I have Paint Shop Pro Photo X 2), you can crop that photo. Since you are using a film camera, and not a digital one, you did well to just get the photo on the computer at all. This photo has a lot of character to it. I like it. Hint: I believe you focused on the blanket. Focusing on the circle in the guitar would have been best. Keep trying. :)

Clutter

This would be a decent photo if it weren't for all the clutter in the background.
Good try
