Too 'orange'?

by Retha
(Australia)

Everytime I take pictures in the living room (this one was with natural light) I get 'orange' people. Same happens when the lights (downlighters) are switched on. Why?? ISO was set on Automatic and I am not able to change the shutter speed or anything else on my camera - a Nikon Coolpix S220.

Change the white balance
by: Anonymous

Sometimes my photos come out the wrong color if I have the white balance set on auto or on something other than what it is supposed to be. If you have florescent bulbs inside the house set it on florescent, etc.

Photo Color

Your are dealing with your lights in your house. They put off that color you don't like. Try daylight bulbs and see if that helps.
