using available light

I love natural light portraits... I look around during the day for nice soft light flowing in the windows. This shot was taken about 15 minutes before sunset. I was working with very small amount of light. I can handhold a very slow shutter speed.

this time I held my camera on a table. This was 1600 iso shutter 10 and spot metered . the reason.. I placed importance on the subject. Look around your home. I bet you can find some great portrait light for your subjects, without using a flash. Good luck and happy shooting
